It just arrived and you will need 2 AAA batteries, and works perfectly. Nice clear LED display. Units can switch between grams, ounces and mL. I needed this for baking. I put a pen on there for size reference. About 1/2 the size of my Samsung TAB A7 tablet. that is 10inches. It still has green the protective film on it, but underneath it's a steel finish. very nice.
